5. Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing

Dynamics of Inequality Across the Life-Course is a research programme funded by NORFACE, a network of research funding agencies in Europe. The goal is to advance globally excellent theoretical and methodological research on dynamics of inequality across the life-course, building synergistically on a pan-European basis.

Data is collected for communicative purposes: to report on DIAL’s events and publications. Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests. Both the newsletter and DIAL’s websites gives everyone an opportunity to subscribe to a newsletter. The subscriber of the newsletter is also entitled to cancel her/his subscription at any time.

6. Period for which the personal data will be stored

The data will be stored until the person either cancels the newsletter or when DIAL decides to cancel the newsletter.

7. Recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data

The data are not transferred to a third country nor to an international organization but DIAL is obliged to provide the mailing list to NORFACE upon request.

8. Rights of data subjects

The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether personal data concerning them are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data. On request, the controller shall provide a copy of the personal data undergoing processing. The data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data, the erasure of personal data, restriction of processing and to object to processing of personal data. The request should be addressed to the contact person of the controller. Data subject has the right to cancel the newsletter at any time.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if the data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to them infringes the General Data Protection Regulation.
